Job Details
Eurofins Scientific is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting internal IT application users with application uptime and requests.
- Supporting cloud and on-premise application services.
- Interacting with users globally.
- Participating in a collaborative team, a backbone of IT solutions.
- Responding to incidents and handling support requests for various technologies (eESB services).
- Executing improvements and automation identified by the team.
- Owning small projects.
- Ensuring the health of the support queue.
- Resolving tickets, identifying trends, and finding technical causes of problems.
- Recommending and implementing process/system changes to eliminate workload and optimize team process.
- Diagnosing and resolving problems to the root cause.
- Escalating issues when needed.
- Participating in a 24x5 weekly rotation.
- Possessing a deep understanding and technical expertise for hands-on work.
Must Haves:
- 5-8 years experience in Application Support
- ITIL framework knowledge
- Strong Unix/Linux, Java fundamentals
- Working experience with Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and perform in a small team
Technical Skills:
- Experience with message-oriented Middleware (ActiveMQ or MSMQ)
- Knowledge of DevOps framework
- Performance monitoring on Solarwinds
- Reporting tools (Service Now, Graphana)
- Version control tools (Git Hub)
- Shell scripting
Application/Domain: Middleware technologies
Profile: BE/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science.
