Application Support Engineer - Seeburger BIS Integration
Job Responsibilities
- Infrastructure and Basis System: Technical operations of virtual machines, operating systems, and databases, including updates in alignment with the Server and Storage team. Handling of vulnerabilities detected by the IT Security Team.
- Monitoring and Performance: Technical monitoring of virtual machines, operating systems, and databases in alignment with the Server and Storage team. Monitoring of network connectivity (Networking team), BIS system (Monitoring team), connectivity with business partners and service providers. Analyzing and tuning system performance.
- Permissions: User creation and permission management for the BIS system. Application for BIS system licenses (e.g., BIC Mapping Designer).
- Technical Process: Creation and extension of workflows in BIS based on business requirements.
- Repository and MapDB administration: Deletion, unlocking of objects, etc.
- Technical operations of BIS system: Daily manual check of B2B Portal and BIS availability, readiness of BIS components and processes, processes in status "Active" and "Error" in BIS Front-end. Setup and maintenance of technical connectivity to internal systems, service providers (e.g., OpenText), and business partners (including certificate/key handling). Setup and maintenance of technical parameters in "Entities Explorer" in BIS Front-end. Setup downtimes for remote systems (e.g., AS2, FTP, OFTP, RosettaNet, SFTP, SAP).
- Incident Handling: Addressing incidents from BIS users or system-related incidents. Temporary contact with business partners (e.g., connection setup).
- Other Activities: Migration activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Support Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in SEEBURGER BIS platforms.
- Hands-on experience with configuration and administration within the SEEBURGER BIS 6.7 environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of the order management process; German language skills (optional but beneficial).
