Associate Legal Counsel will play a key role on a small, collaborative legal team and work cross-functionally across the business.
You'll report to the Senior Legal Counsel and manage a wide range of responsibilities, from NDAs and vendor contracts to internal policies and subpoena reviews.

Responsibilities Include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts (vendor contracts, technology agreements, partnership agreements, and NDAs).
- Evaluating software tools and services, particularly those with AI-related functionality.
- Providing Legal oversight of vendor questionnaires and assisting with review of RFPs, RFIs, and other information requests from clients and prospects.
- Responding to subpoenas, UCC lien notices, and similar third-party legal requests.
- Maintaining and updating internal policies (UDAAP, Privacy and Security policies).
- Managing consumer data requests and providing guidance for internal data privacy inquiries.
- Handling ad hoc legal needs from HR (handbook updates and consulting agreements).
- Supporting marketing projects (press releases, white papers, and campaigns).
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in your state of residence.
- 2–3 years of legal experience (in-house or fintech/payments background a plus).
- Comfortable managing a high volume of diverse, detail-oriented workstreams.
- Strong communicator who can explain legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Curious, collaborative, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
- Interest in technology, AI, privacy, security, and/or product-focused legal work.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
