Full-Time Associate Technical Writer

As an Associate Technical Writer, you'll create, update, and peer-review technical documentation: user guides, reference guides, programming guides, product descriptions, release notes, and white papers. You'll also provide editorial support for security policies, performance reports, and security reports.

Responsibilities:

1. Organize, write, edit, and publish product documentation for a sophisticated security technology audience.
2. Participate in peer reviews, restructuring, and optimization of documentation.
3. Mentor junior writers.
4. Interpret product specifications and incorporate them into documentation.
5. Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, and QA teams.
6. Gather information and research material to develop product knowledge.
7. Create graphics (process flows, data flows).
8. Contribute to presentations, white papers, web pages, and internal/external communications.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (English, Communications, Technical Writing).
• 2+ years of experience writing technical software documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and independent work skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with Markdown, Microsoft Office, and graphics creation tools.
• Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git) and HTML (web help) is a plus.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with data security software documentation.
• Experience developing training materials.
• Familiarity with wikis (Confluence), task tracking (Jira), bug tracking (Jira), and Agile methodologies.
