Job Details
As an Audience Development Editor, you'll be at the heart of our content distribution strategy. Identify and respond to emerging trends on key distribution channels, ensuring content relevance and engagement.
Optimize content distribution across all channels for maximum reach and impact. Work closely with distribution channel leads and the Head of Audience Development on projects expanding audience and enhancing reader engagement.
Develop and implement strategies to increase page views, engagement, subscriptions, and revenue. Collaborate with channel and newsroom leads to implement strategies and review impact for continuous improvement.
Provide tools and actionable insights to newsroom audience leads and the central distribution team. Utilize AI tools, in line with company policies, to improve efficiencies and content distribution.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who excels at generating actionable insights from data, with a deep understanding of digital audiences. Must possess strong relationship-building, communication, and teamwork skills.
Essential: Comprehensive understanding of digital publishing and social media; familiarity with Google search and Discover; passion for news and digital storytelling; excellent prioritization and time-management skills. Experience in an audience role within a digital publishing environment and data analysis skills are crucial.
Preferred: NCTJ or equivalent, solid grasp of media law (including GDPR).
