Full-Time AWS Cloud Architect

Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company in their search for an AWS Cloud Architect. This is a long-term contract opportunity based out of San Antonio, TX/Irvine, CA (Remote).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years' experience in DevOps and Automation.
• Strong database background, primarily MSSQL and other database technologies with automation skills (Python, Terraform).
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Proficient in Python scripting and experienced in using Terraform for automation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python to streamline cloud operations (AWS).
• Use Terraform for infrastructure as code implementations to manage and provision cloud resources efficiently.
• Integrate and maintain observability tools such as Splunk and Datadog for monitoring and alerting of systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement DevOps practices that promote CI/CD methodologies.
• Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and automation tools to support operational and deployment processes.
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes and tools.
• Assist in the resolution of issues related to infrastructure and applications through comprehensive automation strategies.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $80/hour to $110/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
