The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Platform Engineer to join our growing team. As an Azure Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing a wide variety of cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) within our Managed Service Capability which support our customer applications and services.
The candidate should have prior experience presenting Cloud services and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as communicating the benefits to their organisation, with the goal of driving growth for the Telefónica Tech UK&I Cloud practise.
The role is home-based but with an expectation to travel to either the client or our offices in Cambridgeshire & London
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert Certification
- Proven experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and containerisation.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native development, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure documents are consistent in language, terminology, and style.
- Previous experience working as a deployment consultant or engineer.
- Knowledge and experience with Azure pricing and commercial models, and how to optimise a solution for a specific engagement.
- Hold or the ability to attain Government managed security clearance levels. SC as a minimum.
