About the Role:
As a Battery Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our design and release teams in manufacturing and battery assembly plants. Your expertise will ensure that our high-voltage batteries pass End of Line (EOL) tests at our Pilot Plant in CTC. You will collaborate with BMS SW and HW leads, Pack Integration and Module DRE, software engineers, chief engineers, and build coordinators to resolve system-level battery issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Battery EOL testing for various HV batteries assembled in the CTC Pilot plant.
- Assist in issue troubleshooting and document/track issues.
- Analyze EOL data using Vector CAN tools, INCA, or plant tester diagnostic tools.
- Support root cause problem-solving activities.
- Manage module voltage variation correction to optimize pack assembly.
- Perform flashing of BPCM/CSC and ensure proper pairing.
- Aid in change control and establishment of clean points.
- Document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Support pilot vehicle triage and systems level troubleshooting of battery packs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Advance English and Spanish level, B2 or above prefered.
- Strong systems engineering knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data acquisition and diagnostic tools: INCA, Vector tools: CANalyzer.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in application engineering principles.
- High attention to detail and process-oriented.
- Legally elegible to work in Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering degree with 2-3 years of automotive industry experience (can include School projects)
- High Voltage Battery or High Voltage powertrain experience.
- Experience with electronic system level troubleshooting and embedded controls.
- Understanding of diagnostics fundamentals.
- Extensive hands-on use of INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other electrical root cause tools.
