At Candid Health, we're seeking our first BI (Analytics) Engineer to seamlessly integrate Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Analysis. A key strategic role, you'll be responsible for data modeling and pipelines, powering our downstream data products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver critical reporting, analytics, and data models for various use cases.
- Establish operational excellence standards for data extraction to yield meaningful outcomes.
- Build the foundation for future data initiatives, improving and scaling our data infrastructure to support future ML and AI projects.
- Implement and refine data collection and analysis processes, working closely with engineers to understand complex production data. Ensure tooling and visualization platforms are accurate and available.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or a related data-intensive field (e.g., Library Science)
- Experience with data models, data pipelines, and analysis
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Enthusiasm for data modeling, including an understanding of slow-changing dimensions
- Strong SQL skills, applied in complex data environments
- Solid understanding of modern data engineering principles, with the ability to effectively communicate these to others
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to tackle complex tasks that significantly impact the business
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to explain complex ideas clearly.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Metabase, Terraform, Python, and DBT
Compensation:
Estimated starting annual salary range: $135,000 - $180,000 USD. This is a guideline; final compensation may vary based on experience, performance, and market data. Equity and potential incentives may be included.
