Job Summary:
The Clinical Science Liaison, Oncology role covers Missouri and Tennessee. The role provides scientific and technical leadership, educating community-based physicians on the latest Guardant Health product findings (abstracts, publications).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific leadership to build strong relationships with key physicians and KOLs to promote adoption of novel diagnostic technologies.
- Assist community physicians in evaluating and interpreting real-world patient test reports.
- Facilitate educational growth through presentations of scientific content to medical providers and staff.
- Collaborate with KOLs to present at scientific forums (national/regional meetings).
- Summarize and educate key staff on emerging abstracts and publications related to molecular testing.
- Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence, including provider/investigator lists.
- Gather feedback on current and future products for internal commercial and research divisions.
- Understand competitive research activities, gain insights from investigators on sponsored clinical trials, and communicate findings internally.
- Prepare and present clinical requests related to institutional guidelines/pathways.
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree (e.g., Genetic Counselor, NP/PA, Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or academic equivalent).
- Clinical expertise/experience in Oncology.
- 1-3 years healthcare experience in pharma/biotech.
- Experience working with clinicians for product/service consensus.
- Proven track record of independent presentations.
- Prior experience introducing new clinical products (preferred).
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of biotechnology, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written/verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with a strong team ethic.
- Self-directed, flexible to changes.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, time management.
- Exceptional human relations skills.
- Ability to answer clinical questions in various settings.
Work Environment:
- Extensive travel (3-4 days/week, overnights, some weekends).
- Home-based office with computer/keyboard use.
- Potential exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard materials.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- US-based full-time role.
Salary: $136,585 - $184,400 (USD).
