Full-Time Cobol Mainframe Analyst Developer

We are seeking a Cobol Mainframe Analyst Developer in Paris to play a central role in maintaining and evolving our existing applications, ensuring their performance, stability, and compliance with business requirements.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Analyzing user needs and technical specifications
• Designing, developing, and maintaining Cobol applications on IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
• Participating in the evolution of existing processes, ensuring their performance and security
• Identifying, diagnosing, and correcting bugs and malfunctions
• Documenting modifications and developments
• Collaborating with functional, technical teams, and project managers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science with at least 3 years of experience in Cobol development, ideally in a banking, insurance, or finance environment.
• Strong understanding of Cobol (ideally Cobol Batch and CICS)
• Knowledge of IBM z/OS Mainframe environment and related tools (JCL, DB2, TSO/ISPF, IMS)
• Experience with relational databases (DB2, SQL)
• Knowledge of version control tools (Endevor, etc.) and security and compliance best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Methodical and team-oriented work approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with functional and technical teams
