Full-Time Communications Associate

About the Role: The Communications Associate helps create and execute an effective communications program for key stakeholders. This role contributes to Octave's mission of empowering patients, providers, and payors through clear and concise communication.

Responsibilities Include:

• Execute communications strategies aligned with Octave's business objectives, embodying the brand, mission, and values.
• Write, edit, and finalize high-quality internal and external communications (email campaigns/newsletters, talking points, social media content, review responses, press releases, presentations, FAQs, etc.) adhering to brand guidelines.
• Partner with Clinical, Talent Acquisition, and Partnerships teams to create and execute communications driving results.
• Support broader public relations efforts (collaborating with PR agency and contractors).
• Monitor and track communications effectiveness, providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve business objectives, anticipate challenges, and deliver excellent work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of external and/or internal communications experience (PR agency experience preferred, startup experience appreciated).
• Media relations experience (preferred but not required).
• Experience with email platforms (Iterable) and project management tools (Notion) (preferred but not required).
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Passion for writing, meticulous attention to grammar and formatting.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectively.
• Problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
• Collaborative spirit and growth mindset.
