Full-Time Computer & Information Systems Manager, SME - Remote

We are seeking a Computer and Information Systems Manager - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to champion the IRS Applications Development (AD) Organization's technological advancements. This role involves managing IT systems and envisioning and implementing a technological future that aligns with the IRS’s strategic goals.

• Spearhead the evaluation and strategic integration of emerging technologies to foster innovation and efficiency.
• Lead the assessment and overhaul of existing IT infrastructures.
• Champion the development and execution of comprehensive IT strategies.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
• Guide the adoption and governance of IT best practices, including Agile and DevOps.
• Oversee the design and implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and data protection strategies.
• Actively monitor technology trends and advancements.
• Facilitate the continuous improvement of IT service delivery.
• Lead educational and training initiatives.

• 10 years of proven experience in IT management.
• Strong technical proficiency in modern technologies, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and machine learning.
• Exceptional leadership qualities.
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications, including PMP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

• US Citizenship is Required
• Active Public Trust/MBI clearance or the ability to obtain one.
