Full-Time Content Editor - KentLive

What will the role involve?

You will organize and manage the publishing of fresh, engaging, and accurate content for KentLive. You will brief your team to deliver great content (words, pictures, video, data, interactives) to maximize audience engagement. You'll launch live blogs and maintain momentum for big stories. Ensure website and social media content aligns with audience data and trends. Grow the loyal audience, focusing on newsletters and other engaging content. Support and guide your team (1:1s, team briefings, career development, promotions). The role requires a flexible approach with weekend (typically 1 in 3) and evening work.

Who are we looking for?

Experienced NCTJ or equivalent senior journalist with exceptional media law knowledge. Proven track record of telling engaging stories to large audiences. Passion for digital storytelling. Sharp news sense, accuracy, and attention to detail. Supportive people manager who can guide and encourage team members. Social media savvy with strong understanding of SEO, search, and digital audience behavior. Ability to create and edit accurate copy quickly and meet deadlines.
