A successful candidate will bridge the gap between engineering, education, and content writing. This role blends engineering, example creation, and writing, allowing you to deeply understand how Inngest works, how customers use the product, and how to improve the overall experience.
What you'll do
- Create high-quality, engaging documentation for the Inngest docs to drive developer awareness and adoption.

- Develop developer-first documentation, writing engaging, technically accurate content to help developers understand and implement Inngest.
- Write guides, tutorials, and examples showcasing Inngest in real-world codebases, allowing developers to easily understand and explore Inngest.
- Incorporate user feedback to improve documentation and guides, ensuring high quality.
- Collaborate with product, design, and growth teams to align content with product updates and initiatives, owning the user-facing content for all product releases.
- Contribute to content strategy by researching and identifying high-impact technical topics, ensuring content serves the developer journey from exploration to implementation.
Who you are
- An engineer with proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, understanding HTTP, APIs, and queueing systems. Bonus for basic knowledge of Next.js, Python, and/or Go.
- A skilled technical writer who understands developer thought processes and can break down technical concepts into understandable language.
- Proficient in MDX, Markdown, Git, and React.
- Strong language and communication skills, fluent in English and able to adapt writing style as needed.
