About the Role: A Content Writer provides customers with consistent, relevant, and valuable content. They focus on sustaining existing products, ensuring customer communications and product content accurately reflect feature enhancements or changes. This includes writing in-app communications, regulatory updates, and content for sunsetting products. Collaborates with Product Leaders and Engineers to write UI content for product updates (dialog boxes, microcopy, ghost text, labels, button copy, toast/snackbar messages). Creates customer-facing assessments and forms using a CMS, writing in XML format. Optimizes content for publishing to the product. Manages the content release calendar and writes technical help files. Oversees the Help Center, Resource Hub, and the Help File build process (QA, deployment, release).
Key Strengths: Content Writing background in a product-focused environment; education/training background or bachelor's degree in English, UX writing, technical communications, or journalism. Experience writing and structuring language to respond to audience needs, technical communications, instructional, and UX writing. Understanding of XML and JSON structuring. Experience with authoring and publishing content management systems. Experience working in agile development with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Engineers). Domain/industry knowledge a plus. PointClickCare/EHR equivalent software experience is a plus. Self-directed, effective working independently and collaboratively; excellent communication and presentation skills.
Bonus Skills: Domain/industry knowledge a plus. PointClickCare/EHR equivalent software experience is a plus. Knowledge of Paligo, Pendo, Jira, Aha!, Figma, Miro, Smartsheet (a plus). Portfolio of work, including instructional documentation.
Salary: $78,100 - $84,000 CAD per year.
