Full-Time Content/News Editor - KentLive

Organize and manage content publishing for KentLive, creating engaging and accurate content.

Brief team members to produce high-quality content (words, pictures, video, data, interactives) to maximize audience engagement.

Launch live blogs for major stories and maintain audience interest.

Ensure website and social media content aligns with audience data and trends.

Develop the audience, focusing on newsletters and engaging content.

Support and guide team members in daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including one-on-one meetings, team briefings, and career development.

Weekend and evening work required (typically 1 in every 3).

Qualifications needed: Experienced NCTJ or equivalent senior journalist with strong media law knowledge.

Essential skills: Storytelling, audience engagement, digital storytelling, news sense, accuracy, attention to detail, people management, social media savvy, SEO knowledge.

Strong ability to create and edit accurate copy at pace.
