Part-Time Contributing Faculty - Criminal Justice

Opportunity at a Glance Contributing faculty members serve in a part-time capacity to educate Walden University Students by effectively and proficiently using online technology and resources.

Responsibilities:

• Training: New Faculty Members receive specific training from Walden University in teaching techniques.
• Course Teaching: Faculty Members are assigned a course, which is taught using the eCollege platform, and are responsible for interacting with students within this platform.
• Availability: Walden expects faculty to be reasonably accessible to students.
• Residencies: Faculty Members may be required to attend Residencies held domestically or internationally.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• PhD in the field of study or closely related field.
• 3+ years of teaching experience at the degree level of the program is preferred.
• 2+ years online or technology-enabled instruction experience.
• Experience with distance learning preferred.

• Teaching, advising and mentoring skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, team, and human relations skills.

Faculty Members must maintain their licenses and any appropriate certifications in order to continue to teach at Walden University.
