Part-Time Contributing Faculty - DNP

Opportunity at a Glance: Contributing faculty members educate Walden University Students using online technology and resources.

Responsibilities:

• Training in teaching techniques and electronic learning platform.
• Course teaching using the eCollege platform, interacting with students.
• Providing timely feedback and grades through Blackboard.
• Maintaining availability to students outside the course discussion board.
• Attending Residencies (optional for Part-time faculty).
• Complying with all policies and standards.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in the field of study or closely related field.
• 3+ years of teaching experience at the degree level is preferred.
• 2+ years online or technology-enabled instruction experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, zip software, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Reliable Internet access.
• Commitment to student learning and development in a distance learning environment.

Experience with distance learning preferred.

Faculty Members must maintain their licenses and any appropriate certifications in order to continue to teach at Walden University.
