Part-Time Contributing Faculty - MSN

Contributing faculty members educate Walden University Students using online technology and resources.

Responsibilities:

• Training: Participate in training on teaching techniques, the electronic learning platform, policies, and academic integrity.
• Course Teaching: Interact with students within the eCollege platform, provide feedback, and verify student submissions.
• Availability: Be accessible to students and provide substantive feedback.
• Residencies: Attend Residencies (optional for part-time faculty) to teach intensives and facilitate discussions.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements:

• PhD in the field of study or closely related field.
• 3+ years of teaching experience at the degree level is preferred.
• 2+ years of online or technology-enabled instruction experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint), zip software, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Reliable Internet access.
• Commitment to student learning and development in a distance learning environment.
• Excellent communication, team, and human relations skills.

Other:

• Experience with distance learning preferred.
• Maintain licenses and certifications.
• Maintain currency with research.
