GENERAL SUMMARY: The College of Nursing seeks dynamic, innovative faculty for part-time (contributing) positions in the Master of Science in Nursing program. Key responsibilities include teaching advanced pharmacology courses for nurse practitioner students. This position reports to the Clinical Core Specialty Coordinator in the MSN program.
Responsibilities:
- Teach advanced pharmacology courses.
- Maintain a program of scholarship and/or practice.
- Assist with faculty orientation, development, mentoring/monitoring, and evaluation.
- Potentially participate in college and university committee service.
- Effectively use online technology and resources for student interaction.
- Provide timely, well-written feedback and grades through the Canvas platform.
- Verify the accuracy of student postings and submissions.
- Maintain predictable online availability.
Qualifications:
- Earned Doctorate
- Higher Ed teaching experience
- Current Pharmacist/PharmD or active Nurse Practitioner Practice and Scholarship
- Recent clinical/practical experience
- Commitment to distance learning students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current licensure
- Experience with distance learning (preferred)
Compensation: Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter/Semester; Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter. Actual pay may vary.
Technology Requirements: Adequate computer, keyboard, pointing device, monitor, Microsoft Office, zip software, Adobe Acrobat, reliable internet access.
Travel: Some travel may be required.
