Part-Time Contributing Faculty-MSN NP- Remote

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A WALDEN FACULTY MEMBER Faculty members educate Walden University students by effectively and proficiently using online technology and resources.

Faculty are required to grade assignments, participate in discussions, respond to student emails, use technology designed to enhance the learning experience for students.

TRAINING: All new faculty members receive specific training from Walden University in the techniques of online teaching.

COURSE/ TEACHING AVAILABILITY: Faculty members are assigned courses, which are taught using Blackboard, and are responsible for interacting with students within Blackboard.

Faculty members are expected to be in the classroom a minimum of 4 days/wk and responses to student questions must be posted within 48 hrs.

LICENSING/ CERTIFICATION: Faculty Members must be appropriately credentialed, work currently as a FNP, possess an earned degree.

Evidence of current RN and APRN license in te state of Arizona is required. All NP Faculty are also required to obtain RN and APRN licensure in the state of Minnesota

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Earned Doctorate
• A minimum of one year experience of teaching in higher education.
• Current clinical experience in NP practice.
• Excellent oral and written communication, leadership, team, collaboration and interpersonal skills.

TRAVEL: Contributing faculty members may have the opportunity to travel to university events and residencies.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: Faculty members are expected to have a personal computer with virus protection and Internet access.
