GrowthX AI is seeking a Copy Editor & Proofreader who excels at refining written content for clarity, style, and impact.
You'll be the final set of eyes ensuring every piece of content—AI-generated or human-created—meets the highest editorial standards.
Your meticulous attention to detail will influence the quality and credibility of deliverables for GrowthX AI's clients.
Note: This is a fully remote role. We request some overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (at least 4 hours) to collaborate.
The Role:
Collaborate with writers, content strategists, and AI specialists to polish copy across various industries.
Ensure tone, style, and consistency match client brand guidelines, enhancing readability and clarity.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Review content for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency.
- Suggest rewrites or adjustments for clarity and impact.
- Maintain brand-specific style guides for multiple clients.
- Ensure content aligns with client voice, audience, and objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback on content submissions.
- Collaborate with the Automation Team to refine AI-driven editing tools.
- Double-check factual information for accuracy.
- Ensure links, references, and citations adhere to standards.
- Document best practices, new tools, and editorial approaches to improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Strong Editing Background: Expertise in copy editing, proofreading, or related roles. Familiarity with common style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, etc.)
- Attention to Detail: Spot inconsistencies in grammar, punctuation, voice, and formatting.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- AI Fluency: Willingness to learn and work with AI-driven editing tools.
- Time Management: Organized and able to prioritize tasks within client workstreams.

Requirements
- 1+ years of professional experience
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and style conventions
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
- Reliable internet connection and capacity to overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (4 hours minimum)
