Full-Time Copy Editor & Proofreader

GrowthX AI is seeking a Copy Editor & Proofreader who excels at refining written content for clarity, style, and impact.

You'll be the final set of eyes ensuring every piece of content—AI-generated or human-created—meets the highest editorial standards.

Your meticulous attention to detail will influence the quality and credibility of deliverables for GrowthX AI's clients.

Note: This is a fully remote role. We request some overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (at least 4 hours) to collaborate.

The Role:

Collaborate with writers, content strategists, and AI specialists to polish copy across various industries.

Ensure tone, style, and consistency match client brand guidelines, enhancing readability and clarity.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Review content for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency.
• Suggest rewrites or adjustments for clarity and impact.
• Maintain brand-specific style guides for multiple clients.
• Ensure content aligns with client voice, audience, and objectives.
• Provide constructive feedback on content submissions.
• Collaborate with the Automation Team to refine AI-driven editing tools.
• Double-check factual information for accuracy.
• Ensure links, references, and citations adhere to standards.
• Document best practices, new tools, and editorial approaches to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Strong Editing Background: Expertise in copy editing, proofreading, or related roles. Familiarity with common style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, etc.)
• Attention to Detail: Spot inconsistencies in grammar, punctuation, voice, and formatting.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• AI Fluency: Willingness to learn and work with AI-driven editing tools.
• Time Management: Organized and able to prioritize tasks within client workstreams.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and style conventions

• Reliable internet connection and capacity to overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (4 hours minimum)
