Our Copywriter Team Lead will play a critical role in crafting compelling content and guiding our talented copywriting team to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
About the RoleWe are seeking a creative and experienced Copywriter Team Lead to oversee and elevate our copywriting efforts. In this role, you will guide a remote team of copywriters, ensuring all content meets our high standards of quality, clarity, and effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with other departments to create engaging, SEO-optimized sales copy that drives client success on the Walmart marketplace.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of copywriters, ensuring they meet performance goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and training to team members to enhance their skills.
- Review and approve copy for Walmart marketplace listings, advertising campaigns, and other e-commerce content.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, is SEO-optimized, and effectively communicates client messaging.
- Collaborate with account managers, designers, and other teams to prioritize and execute client projects.
- Conduct competitor research to ensure our content remains innovative and effective.
- Assess and assist in the onboarding of new copywriters.
- Continuously analyze and improve team workflows for greater efficiency.
- Present updates and performance reports to senior management.
Skills That Will Enable You to Thrive:
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of remote copywriters or creatives.
- Exceptional writing skills with a strong focus on clarity, persuasion, and SEO optimization.
- Extensive experience as an Ecommerce Copywriter.
- Comprehensive understanding of e-commerce platforms, particularly Walmart Marketplace.
- Proficiency in tools such as Slack, ClickUp, GSuite, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability to evolving client and team needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
