Full-Time Core Faculty - Nursing - PhD

Walden University is seeking a dynamic and innovative faculty member for a full-time position in the PhD program's nursing specialization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses
• Mentor student research
• Use online technology and resources effectively
• Provide timely, thoughtful feedback and critiques to students
• Maintain currency with research

What to Expect:

• Specific training in online teaching techniques
• Use of an electronic learning platform
• Training on program policies, procedures
• Socialization into Walden University culture
• Assessment of academic integrity
• Research supervision
• Potential faculty peer mentorship during the first term

Teaching Requirements:

• Minimum 4 days/week classroom availability
• Responses to student questions within 48 hours
• Regular online office hours or chats (as needed)

Research Mentorship:

• Work one-on-one with students
• Provide timely feedback and evaluation

Possible Residencies:

• Attendance at domestic residencies
• Teach face-to-face intensives and colloquia

Required Education and Experience:

• Earned PhD in Nursing or related field from accredited institution
• Demonstrated coursework in specialization areas (education, healthcare administration, population health, leadership/management, informatics)
• Current RN licensure
• Strong record of scholarship, including externally funded research and peer-reviewed publications
• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching graduate courses
• Commitment to distance learning students
• Experience serving on dissertation committees preferred

Additional Responsibilities:

• May be assigned additional administrative, supervisory, and management tasks
• May participate in faculty governance or academic policy committees

Salary Range: $70,696.34 - $124,230.14
