WHAT'S THE JOB?We are hiring an experienced Credit Risk Manager to oversee credit risk management, ensure sound decisions, and drive efficiencies using advanced technologies and data analytics. This role evaluates client creditworthiness, creates credit scoring models, approves/rejects applications, and updates credit policy.
Responsibilities
- Assess creditworthiness of clients using credit reports and industry information.
- Stay current on industry best practices, technological advancements, and data-driven decision-making, educating team members.
- Champion the adoption of AI-driven credit scoring tools.
- Monitor client accounts to reduce bad debt.
- Produce and present management reports effectively.
- Understand credit limit structures and protections for client credit assessments and portfolio strategy discussions.
- Identify risk threats and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop/maintain portfolio reports supporting risk mitigation.
- Advise business units on potential receivables risks and client payment ability.
- Develop, implement, and communicate policies/procedures reducing credit risk.
- Monitor adherence to risk management policies and procedures.
- Build financial models predicting credit risk exposure and prepare performance reports.
- Continuously contribute to Dexterra’s credit and portfolio risk management, providing reporting.
- Respond to ad hoc requests and perform other duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant professional designation.
- 3+ years proven work experience as a credit manager using modern predictive technologies.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit evaluation techniques.
- Advanced understanding of credit agency finance analytics and payment performance reporting.
