Full-Time Data Analytics Engineer

The NAVAIR Digital Department is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to identify, acquire, process, and analyze diverse data sources.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with data engineers & developers to acquire, process, and format data.
• Work with data analysts & data scientists to ready diverse data sources for analytics work.
• Liaise with business and operational stakeholders to understand business needs and goals.
• Translate user requirements to underlying data sources and develop extraction plans.
• Develop thorough documentation for data sources and pipelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field is required, Master’s degree is preferred.
• Three (3) years of related experience is required.
• Thorough working knowledge of at least two analytical programming languages (R, Python, Scala, SQL)
• Working knowledge of code repositories & version control (Git)
• Basic working knowledge at least one BI/visualization tool (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI)
• Technical and business domain-focused customer experience
• A Security + certification is required
• An active DoD Secret Clearance or higher is required
• Selected candidate must pass a background investigation

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with Cybersecurity / RMF
• Knowledge of advanced analytics principals (statistical modeling, machine learning, AI)
• Experience building/maintaining/automating dashboards for users
• Military background a plus
