Role OverviewSeeking a highly skilled Data Engineer/BI Engineer experienced in designing ETL/ELT pipelines, managing databases, and developing Power BI dashboards. The ideal candidate handles end-to-end data workflows, from extraction and transformation to visualization and insights generation. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Airflow, and SQL in AWS environment.
- Manage and optimize data lake and data warehouse solutions on AWS.
- Develop and maintain data-driven dashboards and reports in Power BI, connecting to SQL Server and PostgreSQL Aurora databases.
- Extract and integrate data from third-party APIs to populate the data lake.
- Perform data profiling and source system analysis to ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficient database operations.
- Implement best practices for data engineering, visualization, and database management.
- Participate in architectural decisions and improve data solutions.
- Follow agile and lean development practices for efficient execution.
- Independently validate data accuracy before delivery.
- Proactively evaluate technical approaches and suggest alternatives.
- Stay updated on AI and data engineering advancements.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and database management.
- Strong SQL expertise (T-SQL, MS SQL) with query optimization.
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and Airflow for ETL/ELT.
- Experience extracting and managing data from third-party APIs (REST, JSON).
- Experience designing and developing data warehouse solutions on AWS.
- Strong Power BI expertise for data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate technical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to upskill in AI-driven data solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AWS cloud data services (RedShift, Athena, Lambda, Glue).
- Experience with additional BI tools (Tableau).
- Knowledge of data lake architectures.
- Experience with AI-driven data analytics or integrating AI models.
