The Data Strategy and Solution (DSS) team manages the research, creation, and upkeep of over 27,000 Label Insight attributes.
This team comprises industry experts, including dietitians, food scientists, chemists, and regulatory/product formulation experts. They are responsible for the quality and maintenance of proprietary taxonomies (claims, certifications, ingredients, nutrients, and categories).
Responsibilities:
- Hire and manage a team of data quality specialists.
- Develop and implement global data management policies and procedures, including documentation for optimized data quality, improved efficiency, automation, and change management.
- Maintain the quality, lineage, and metadata of multi-region data, and develop data governance systems.
- Create technical and strategic roadmaps aligned with company goals, client deliverables, and product roadmaps.
- Inspire and motivate a team of operation analysts, and delegate tasks effectively.
- Identify, support, and prioritize data and product solution gaps, making recommendations for innovation.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering departments to identify data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Master BI tools, data querying, rule-based languages, internal NIQ tools, and databases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher; Master's in data analytics preferred.
- 5+ years experience in data management or related fields.
- 2+ years experience in a leadership/management role.
- Strong team and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to assess feasibility of solutions, identify hurdles, and reject projects based on logic, limitations, or roadmap.
- Experience making data-driven decisions, highlighting risks, and gaining stakeholder alignment.
