Data Platform Engineer
DescriptionOur client, a growing SaaS company, is seeking a Data Platform Engineer for their remote team in Canada. You will design, develop, and optimize robust analytics systems and data architectures. Expertise in creating complex SQL queries, modern data warehouse platforms (Snowflake or similar), and building analytics and reporting systems is required.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable data pipelines and analytics systems
- Design and optimize SQL queries for large datasets
- Build and manage data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake)
- Automate ETL/ELT workflows using Python
- Integrate data from multiple sources for consistent analytics
- Create dashboards using visualization tools
- Optimize system performance for reliability and speed
- Collaborate with stakeholders on reporting needs and architecture
- Document system design, data flows, and integration points
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Python for data analytics development and architecture.
- 5+ years of SQL development experience with complex joins and large datasets.
- 5+ years of experience with data warehouse platforms (Snowflake or similar).
- 5+ years of ETL/ELT pipeline development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with BI/visualization tools.
- SaaS product experience.
