Job Details
Work with distributed processing tools: Flink, Spark, Kafka for processing large datasets (TBs) in batch and streaming modes.
Manage and improve cloud data lake infrastructure: Kafka, Hudi/Iceberg, AWS Athena, etc.
Programming Languages: Gain experience in multiple languages, mainly JVM stack (Scala, Java, Kotlin), and others (Python, Go, Rust).
DevOps Contributions: Utilize Kubernetes, Flux, Helm, Terraform, AWS CDK.
Support Data Scientists: Develop pipelines, models, and provide batch/realtime machine learning predictions with sub-second response times (under 30 milliseconds latency p99).
Problem Solving: Propose new ideas and approaches to address emerging issues.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
Interests and Skills: Interest in software engineering, functional programming, and data engineering, with DevOps skills.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in at least one programming language (Scala, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Python, or Go).
Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms.
Communication Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
