Full-Time Data Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Team Lead to lead the management and optimization of our data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting for a rapidly scaling Payment Orchestration company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the long-term vision for how data can be leveraged across the business to drive growth, innovation, and efficiency.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data architectures and platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, cloud storage).
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and implementation optimization.
• Set up a clear efficient criteria in order to scale up your team considering tools and personnel.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected from various internal and external sources.
• Lead the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and statistical models to provide real-time visibility into operational performance.
• Lead and support a team ensuring optimal results by creating a proactive and systematic monitoring, analysis and follow-up on merchant data, performance and operations.
• Stay updated on technological advancements, online payments regulations and business reporting standards.
• In partnership with area leadership, recommend and execute against best practice incentive to ensure optimal control of the responsibilities of the entire team.
• Lead your team, ensuring compliance with agreed objectives and timelines.
• Take initiative to anticipate complications and make appropriate decisions based on feedback received and knowledge of the team.
• Promote and transmit the team's core values, ensuring excellence in communication and technique, improving current processes and defining new ones to optimize results.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years experience leading teams within data & implementation environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• Previous experience and knowledge within the online payments industry is highly appreciated.
• Ability to utilize multiple data sources to drive expected return on chasing trends and actions to mitigate negatively trending KPIs.
• Experience with Business Intelligence software (Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc), statistical & coding packages (SPSS, Python, SQL, SAS etc) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Well-rounded background to balance the line between tech and business.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate confidently at C-levels.
• Attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Experience with integration projects within a large global company.
• Proven track record of driving change, using data to make informed decisions.
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of different file connections (SFTP, webhooks, APIs).
