Full-Time Deals Editor, Pro Deals

The big picture: Axios Pro Deals provides trustworthy, award-winning deals news in an audience-first format. We're hiring a deals editor!

Why it matters: The deals editor oversees and elevates our coverage of the broad deals market (VC to M&A), focusing on climate and supply chain sectors. The Pro Deals subscription includes breaking news, live events, and daily newsletters.

This player-coach editor supports a reporting team in pursuing scoops, data-driven insights, and distinctive pieces providing dealmaking community members with needed news to excel at their jobs, while continuing essential reporting.

The details: Ideal candidates embody an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for Axios' mission, and have:

• Sharp news judgment and familiarity with Axios' news sensibility
• Demonstrated ability to generate and execute stories elevating coverage beyond the news cycle
• Proven experience editing and upholding editorial standards
• Collaborative and strong communication skills; able to work across the newsroom

Starting salary: $125,000 - $145,000 (dependent on location, experience, and skills). This range excludes other compensation and benefits.
