Desktop Engineer role, supporting Experian's North American Contact Center (MCE), focuses on creating, developing, and implementing solutions for complex technical and procedural problems.
The role provides expertise to end-users and the Service Desk, with a strong emphasis on automation. Reporting to the MCE Service Desk manager, complex diagnostics are performed to resolve desktop environment issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engineering and managing automation and integration workflows
- Developing and managing client endpoint management configurations and policies
- Providing management support to all computers within MCE
- Contributing to projects, including new hardware images and software updates on end-user devices
- Performing system administration and updates, including operating system and software updates
- Managing business-critical systems, such as System Center Configuration Manager and Active Directory
- Researching complex technical problems and solutions
- Reviewing service desk reports to identify systemic end-user device issues
- Participating in collaborative design and solution delivery
- Escalating trouble tickets and managing tickets promptly (opening, updating, closing)
- Maintaining clear communication with end-users throughout issue resolution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in client endpoint support
- Windows client environment experience
- Experience with SCCM, Intune, MDM, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Proficiency in modern scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
- Understanding of departmental connections and relationships
- Expert troubleshooting skills for complex end-user device issues in large environments
- Proven quality assurance and documentation skills
- Experience in software packaging and deployment on Windows
- Availability to work Central Time or Eastern Time
