Director of Business Development (Europe)

Ora, the leading full-service ophthalmic drug and device development firm, is building the future of ophthalmic clinical research. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to support growth and development of target accounts in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect and leverage new business opportunities within target accounts.
• Network and build relationships within the industry to identify opportunities.
• Monitor and maintain a robust pipeline of potential opportunities.
• Maintain communication with customers and ensure CRM systems are up-to-date.
• Grow existing client relationships and generate new business.
• Communicate Ora’s value proposition, clinical research capabilities, and experience.
• Develop relationships with key pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
• Stay informed of industry trends and developments.
• Represent Ora at relevant industry meetings.
• Champion partnership clients.
• Support internal stakeholders.
• Adhere to Ora’s quality system and data integrity standards.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of Business Development/Sales experience.
• 5+ years of Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry experience.
• CRO sales experience.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong relationship-building and management skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Established client relationships with bio-pharma decision makers.
• History of exceeding sales quotas.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a sense of urgency.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Travel Requirements: Up to 30%.
