About the Role: The Director of FP&A plays a critical role in Finvisor's evolution, supporting clients and their founders. For some clients, you'll act as their fractional CFO, leading financial forecasting, board presentations, and advisory needs. Overseeing financial operations, you'll also lead enterprise-wide planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with executive leadership (CEO, department Directors), VC-backed companies, and founders.
- Provide analytical insights for strategic decision-making.
- Develop a long-term financial strategy aligned with growth, profitability, and cash flow goals.
- Deliver precise quarterly financial forecasts, offering actionable insights.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analyses for management and the board.
- Lead initiatives to enhance, automate, and scale forecasting and reporting tools.
- Build and lead a high-performing Corporate FP&A team (3-6 people).
- Direct FP&A activities, understanding enterprise financial drivers.
- Optimize performance analytics, linking processes to financial outcomes.
- Develop compelling presentations narrating financial performance.
- Lead a remote finance team, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and development.
Qualifications:
- 10-12+ years relevant experience in finance, management consulting, or corporate strategy, with expertise in FP&A and project management.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Strong FP&A experience, preferably in SaaS/FinTech or startups.
- VC-backed company experience is a plus.
- Experience handling multiple client deadlines and collaborating effectively.
- Proven ability to build strong rapport with founders and stakeholders.
- Expertise in SaaS/Retail financial modeling.
- High emotional intelligence and strong leadership skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet manipulation and presentation development.
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Adaptive Planning is a plus.
- Strong business partnering, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
- Proven financial modeling skills, adept at trend analysis, and insightful strategy development.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, and experience with FP&A software, database query skills, and handling large datasets is beneficial.
