Full-Time Director/Senior Director, Operational Strategy (Rare Disease)

• Coordinate and develop Win Strategies for potential awards.
• Review project budgets.
• Co-lead bid defense preparations with Business Development.
• Develop relations with clients’ key decision makers.
• Collaborate with global functions (Project Management, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Statistics, Regulatory and Safety).
• Support functional teams to enhance client relations and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Provide therapeutic and technical expertise as part of study transition.
• Remain current regarding the regulatory environment.
• Provide guidance and direction around project planning, execution, review, risk mitigation, problem-solving and customer management.
• Support business development and marketing activities.
• Participate in recruitment and induction of new staff.
• Participate actively in executive Project Review Meetings.
• Identify and escalate issues.
• Support QA and functional teams in developing/adapting SOPs and working practices.

• Degree in a life science or related field.
• Extensive experience in clinical research with an emphasis on rare disease.
• Experience at a senior level contributing to project oversight and delivery.
• Track-record in maintaining, developing and strengthening customer relations.
• Project Management background and expertise in portfolio-specific topics (e.g., rare disease trial design).
• Ability to manage multiple project portfolios.
• Organizational, planning and multitasking skills.
• Ability to interact with internal and external clients at all levels.
• Experience in developing project budgets.
