THE POSITION: As an EDI Manager, you'll work on solutions, development, and testing for EDI initiatives. Collaborate with account management, IT project teams, to develop EDI solutions for new clients and enhance existing ones.
Collaborate with internal operations, infrastructure, and support teams, taking ownership of critical issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, analyze, and manage all EDI functions.
- Develop and implement an EDI strategy.
- Oversee team development and translation of requirements into technical design for comprehensive client system interfaces.
- Design efficient, reusable technical solutions for client and business partner EDI needs.
- Ensure code meets design specifications using X12 Standards, XML, AS2, (S)FTP, and other technologies.
- Minimize risk, maximize opportunities by communicating issues and resolutions to stakeholders, escalating as needed.
- Provide production support, involving other teams as needed.
- Seek continuous improvement for EDI platform development processes.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with leaders, peer teams, and business users.
- Manage maintenance and backup plans.
- Lead projects, both within assigned teams and cross-functionally.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Other duties as assigned.
PEOPLE LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee department.
- Interview, select, and supervise staff.
- Communicate company policies and procedures.
- Determine job objectives, work methods, and performance standards.
- Review performance, conduct appraisals, authorize salary changes, promotions, transfers, and discipline.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Travel (up to 10%).
- Hours: 40 per week, 5 days.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 8+ years EDI technology development experience, proven success.
- Experience with warehousing/distribution/3PL services.
- Proficiency with AS2, XML, (S)FTP.
- Development and system admin experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Gentran.
- Experience with Lightwell B2B Framework.
- Experience with ANSI X12 EDI transactions.
- Experience with Visual Basic programming.
- SQL development experience.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent reaching, grasping, standing/sitting.
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
- Moderately quiet work environment with frequent interruptions.
SALARY: $102,500 - $138,500 (USD)
