Full-Time Editor

A TCM Editor is responsible for writing and editing content on tax, accounting, business and other relevant topics. He/she will work on assigned TopLine Content Marketing (TCM) products (such as newsletters, blog articles and social media posts) and contributing to content for other CPA Site Solutions products and other industry verticals as needed.

• Research/generate relevant topic ideas
• Complete writing and editing for assigned products/services/customers at a high level of quality
• Follow established processes and quality standards while meeting deadlines
• Follow tax legislation, IRS guidance, relevant court cases as well as other developments
• Work effectively with other Editorial team members, outside contractors, graphic designers, proofreaders and subject matter experts
• Complete other duties as assigned by management

• A BA in journalism, communications or marketing (or equivalent training/experience)
• 3+ years of experience in an editorial or similar content-related role
• Experience using AI to assist with researching, creating and editing content
• Experience writing and editing business-to-business or other financial or professional services content, preferably tax and accounting content
• Familiarity with the accounting profession and the content they need
• Ability to effectively research and understand complex topics
• Ability to effectively edit content submitted by a team member or outside contractor
• Familiarity with best practices and trends in email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO) marketing and/or social media marketing
• Expert-level English proficiency
• Experience following a style guide
• High attention to detail
• Strong time management and project management skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines

• Prolonged periods of sedentary movement
• May be requested to work overtime and weekends if deemed necessary
• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
