About the Role: As the Editor, The CMO Club, you'll drive organic traffic growth for thecmo.com site. You'll own SEO-optimized content creation, collaborating with subject matter experts to produce high-quality articles, making the site a go-to resource for career development, how-to guides, and software reviews.
Who You Are: An audience-first thinker, championing quality and user-helpfulness. You'll use data signals to improve based on audience needs. You'll prioritize content that supports the publication's goals, and track the performance of valuable pages, using SERP data to optimize and recover lost traffic.
Who You Are: You cultivate positive relationships with SMEs, sourcing contributors. You build a strong contributor pool, enabling efficient, quality content production.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create high-quality, expert-driven content that ranks highly, builds traffic, and establishes authority.
- Maintain and maximize content performance by keeping it fresh and relevant, collaborating with the SEO team to optimize content.
- Infuse content with SME insights, prioritizing impactful pages.
How Your Success Will Be Measured:

Your Skillset Includes:
- Proven experience in content creation and editing
- Strong understanding of SEO principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong collaboration and team-working skills
Nice to Haves:
- Media tech company experience
- UX, Design, or Tech knowledge
- Existing SME relationships
- Content performance monitoring and improvement experience
