Full-Time Electrical Engineering Department Lead

AECOM seeks an Electrical Engineering Department Lead to manage a growing team within the US Energy Practice. This remote role offers flexibility in location across the US.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Team supervision and leadership, including technical development and mentorship.
2. Improving project efficiencies through standards/templates and software recommendations.
3. Providing input on project resourcing and staff forecasting.
4. Developing task lists and schedules for business development.
5. Supporting recruiting efforts.
6. Managing projects through all phases (feasibility, design, construction, start-up, commissioning).
7. Acting as the discipline lead and engineer of record, collaborating with other technical leads.
8. Performing engineering calculations and generating specifications.
9. Reviewing designs for quality control.
10. Ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery.
11. Maintaining technical and safety standards in design work.
12. Presenting engineering and design work at client meetings.
13. Level specific responsibilities: Coordination of mid-large-size projects; leading technical client relationships; growing technical expertise; leading technical business development; providing technical input for studies and design; approving and signing off on work; and leading in areas of technology.
14. Providing estimates for engineering budget and schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial and/or power facilities.
• PE License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of team supervision experience.
• 7+ years as a discipline technical lead in industrial or power generation.
• Physical design experience for industrial facilities.
• Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects.
• Experience working in remote and multi-discipline teams.
• Expert knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, NESC, IEEE, etc.).
• Power systems analysis software experience (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower).
