Full-Time Electrical Engineering Department Manager

AECOM seeks an Electrical Engineering Department Manager to lead a growing electrical engineering team within the US Energy Practice.

This role offers remote or on-site flexibility at various Energy offices across the US.

Responsibilities Include:

• Team supervision and leadership to support the Director of Engineering.
• Mentorship and development of electrical engineers.
• Improving project efficiencies through standards, templates, and software recommendations.
• Inputting on project resourcing and staff forecasting.
• Supporting business development activities.
• Supporting projects throughout the lifecycle (feasibility, design, bidding, construction, start-up, commissioning).
• Electrical engineering design work as Engineer of Record.
• Collaboration with multi-discipline leads for integrated project solutions.
• Technical electrical leadership on assigned projects.
• Performing engineering calculations and generating construction/equipment specifications.
• Quality control review of work and monitoring project progress for quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
• Maintaining technical and safety standards.
• Presenting engineering work at client meetings (occasional travel).
• Coordinating and providing technical expertise for mid-to-large projects.
• Leading technical client relationships and selling.
• Leading department efforts to expand technical expertise.
• Leading technical business development.
• Providing specialized technical input.
• Approving and signing off on work.
• Leading in technology areas.
• Estimating engineering budgets and schedules for large projects.
