Field Applications Scientist II (m/w/d) – Shape the Future of Science in the Field 🧬

Your Role and Impact
- Deliver hands-on support during customer equipment installations, including assay validation & training
- Troubleshoot instrument and software issues on-site and remotely with precision and empathy
- Guide customers in optimizing PCR assays, nucleic acid purification, and sample workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams for seamless customer experience
- Mentor and coach junior Field Application Scientists and share best practices
- Contribute to application notes, presentations, and represent LGC at scientific tradeshows
Your Background and Experience
- Ideally Masters or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or related field
- Proven experience in Oligonucleotide synthesis, analytical methods, and synthesis method development
- Strong communication & customer service skills; confident troubleshooting via phone/email or in person
- Proficient with lab automation, standard molecular biology tools & Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer projects independently
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50% (internationally)
