The Forest Stewards Guild is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead a nationwide philanthropy program, driving organizational growth. We're looking for a Chief Advancement Officer, focusing on fundraising, constituent relations, marketing, and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Development & Partnerships Office, establishing procedures and goals.
- Manage a portfolio of ~200 supporters, ensuring personalized attention.
- Conduct 1-3 quality personal contacts daily with supporters.
- Support Board and Executive Director outreach to influential leaders.
- Maintain the Neon database's accuracy and organization.
- Produce and distribute fundraising projections and results.
- Adhere to Association of Fundraising Professionals and Guild ethical standards.
- Build a new Development & Partnerships team from the ground up.
Requirements:
- Mid- to senior-level nonprofit fundraising experience.
- 5+ years experience with individual donors, corporate fundraising, and business strategy.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven team building and staff supervision experience.
- Strong confidence, professionalism, and passion for positive impact.
- Empathy, perseverance, charisma, and high ethical standards.
Compensation: $86,000 - $125,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits package.
Location: Remote within the continental US, with 20-30% travel to partner locations. Work location must be within 2 hours of a major airport.
