Full-Time Field Engineer (Travel/Remote)

• Responsibilities:
• Perform Field Evaluations
• Review scope of work and identify necessary items
• Coordinate travel arrangements
• Communicate with client, AHJ, contractors
• Identify applicability of national codes and standards
• Review manuals, schematics, BOMs, site procedures
• Document construction details and any non-conformances
• Assess compliance to UL, NFPA, CSA, or ANSI standards
• Determine eligibility of equipment for labeling and issue reports
• Submit expenses and documentation for billing
• Meet billing goals and project deadlines
• Grow client relationships

• Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• MUST have direct Field Engineering experience with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) or Field Evaluation Body (FEB) using product safety standards.
• Conversant with UL 508A, UL 61010-1, UL 73, NFPA 70, & NFPA 79.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in elevated and/or confined spaces and lift 30+ pounds.
• Strong electrical background and understanding of electrical systems.
• Sound problem-solving skills.
• Skillful ability to work independently.
