Full-Time Protection & Controls Field Technician

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience testing medium/high-voltage electrical systems.
• Strong expertise in protective relays: SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE.
• Proficiency with Omicron/Doble test sets and associated software: ENOSERV RTS, Test Universe, AcSELerator.
• Ability to travel up to 85% and work long field days.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid driver's license and insurable MVR record.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and MVR screening.
• Minimum education: Associate Degree (Electrical-related preferred).

• Test and commission Protection & Control (P&C) systems at high-voltage substations (15 kV–500 kV).
• Perform advanced relay testing using Omicron or Doble test equipment (SEL & GE relays).
• Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Support project leads, follow strict safety protocols, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Complete field reports, timecards, and expense logs.
• Ensure compliance with NETA, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
