Job Details

Field Service Engineer provides exceptional technical support, maintenance, installation, and training for TOMRA's cutting-edge food sorting equipment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Relevant knowledge of electronics/electrical assembly and wiring.
  • Strong understanding of electronics and electrical assembly and wiring.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures/governmental regulations.
  • Professional customer assistance.
  • Effective working relationships with customers, internal/external associates, and management.
  • Excellent communication skills (English).
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Positive attitude and strong customer service mindset.

Education:

Technical Certification or Associate's degree in relevant field (electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, mechatronics, sustainable manufacturing, or industrial engineering) preferred.

Experience:

Two plus years' experience in field service and customer support, PC building/repair/diagnostic testing, installing software on PCs. Experience with packaging or printing machinery, customer service, and electronic troubleshooting is a plus. Working knowledge of basic analog/digital circuits, electrical power circuits, PLC circuits, test equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters), computer hardware/configurations, and MS Office.

Work Environment:

Food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outdoors (high/low temperatures).

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Bend, kneel, stand frequently.
  • Work in confined spaces.
  • Color vision.
  • No major food allergies.

Travel:

Willing to travel at least 70% of the time (domestic - East Coast, international possible).

Supervision:

Not a supervisory role.

Driving:

Ability to drive without restrictions.
