Job Details
Plans, prepares and documents service visits. As a Field Service Engineer at Miltenyi Biotec, you are in charge of your own calendar and planning.
Confirms instrument fault / diagnosis. Ensures correct spare parts and tools are available, prioritizes, schedules and confirms appointment with customers.
Performs instrument installation, qualification, preventative maintenance, repair and upgrades. Performs intervention following available documentation / SOP, qualifies instruments following available documentation / SOP, reviews all activities with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Manages own spare part car stock and measurement tools. Orders spare parts and maintenance kits, performs goods receipt and return to ensure correct stock inventory, performs periodical stock control inventory, ensures all calibrated measurement tools are within specifications.
Connects and works in close cooperation with customers, sales teams, technical support, field applications support. to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives. Constantly aligns with internal teams, ensures actions and customer communications serve the business objectives.
Main territory is Belgium with occasional travel to The Netherlands. You ideally live in the area of Antwerp / Gent.
Technical background and affinity and a degree in a relevant field (engineering, electrical engineering or related). Experience in biotech instrumentation, field service repair, fluid control systems, and system level electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. Flow cytometry and/or laser experience would be an added bonus, though not essential.
Excellent computer, networking, troubleshooting and communication skills.
4 days at customer sites per week and 1 admin day. The job requires daily travel to customer sites located mainly in Belgium and the South of The Netherlands. Occasional other travel may be requested.
Willingness to provide ad hoc support in the weekend. (to a very selected group of high priority customers only via our standby support line) in cases patient outcome depends on it.
Fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is a plus. Driving license required.
