Full-Time Field Service Technician II

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction.
• Fostering positive customer relations and effective communication.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the field.
• Responding to emergency and non-scheduled service calls.
• Completing scheduled maintenance within deadlines.
• Documenting all inspections, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ordering, installing, and managing repair parts.
• Maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and tools.
• Maintaining technical certifications.
• Reviewing logs for open issues and preparing customer reports.
• Participating in service sales opportunities.
• Ensuring tools and test equipment are maintained and calibrated.
• Assessing product/equipment performance and recommending improvements.
• Providing technical support to customers and service professionals.
• Submitting expenses, timecards, and administrative tasks on time.
• Complying with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Complying with U.S. export control and security regulations.

Position Requirements:

• Education/Training: Associate’s Degree or Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or Military Training (electrical, mechanical, electronics). Equivalence achieved through comparative work and life experience is acceptable (>3 years work experience in a related electrical or mechanical field service role).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communications skills, customer focus, and teamwork.
• Must be responsive to customer issues and willing to travel at short notice.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable.
• Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs and push/pull 200 lbs.
• Must be able to work safely in extreme environments.

Work Environment:

• Service locations include airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, and cruise ships.
