About You: Reporting to the Avalere Health Controller, this role will support our project delivery, finance and operations teams across Avalere Health. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with prior experience connecting finance, accounting and operations.
What You'll Do:
- Establish new company-wide processes to support project finance activities considering financial controls.
- Lead team of 8-10 project finance professionals located across the US and UK.
- Collaborate with project management (PM) and client service (CS) teams to manage financial data.
- As owner of Revenue Recognition with outside auditors, review monthly client budgets and actuals with our CS and PM teams to verify billing and revenue recognition.
- Support the Finance capability teams in key initiatives including margin by client, recovery, invoicing analytics, forecasting indicators and development of business KPIs.
- Manage Accrued Revenue and Deferred Liabilities and ensure balances are updated and reconciled to maximize cash flow
- Assist Finance capability teams with reporting requirements for monthly, quarterly and annual cycles as well as ad-hoc client reporting needs.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives especially around newly implemented project management software.
About You:
- 7+ years' experience with progressive experience across accounting / finance or graduate of finance leadership rotational program with strong technical & leadership skills.
- Proven leadership and coaching skills managing a diverse team in remote locations
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate through ambiguity and establish clarity and direction.
- Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Self-starter, organized and able to prioritize effectively without day-to-day oversight.
- High attention to detail with 'big picture' awareness.
- Compelling influencing skills to drive initiatives while collaborating cross-functionally.
- Committed to continuous improvement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office packages, Adobe WorkFront and Oracle NetSuite (desirable).
